Bradley Ally and Shaune Fraser making waves for University of Florida

 

The Caribbean's two silver medallists at the Pan-American Games Bradley Ally of Barbados in the 200 metre Individual Medley and Shaune Fraser of the Cayman Islands in the 200 metre freestyle continued their good form for the University of Florida this time in a 25 yard pool. Fraser and Ally had two wins apiece as Florida beat Florida State 155-88 at their home pool. Shaune got the ball rolling by having the second fastest 100 yard butterfly leg 49.02 (56.47 in long course metres LCM) to help Florida to a win in the 400 yard medley relay in 3:17.34 and a NCAA consideration time. He later took the 200 yard freestyle in 1:37.50 (1:52.72 LCM ) for win by over a second and another NCAA consideration time. He finished the evening by placing second in the 500 yard freestyle in 4:26.21 (4:00.91).

         Ally got his win as expected in the 200 yard individual medley in 1:49.36 (2:07.61).His win also came quite easily by over a second  and was another NCAA consideration time. Ally also holds the distinction of being the fastest ever high school swimmer in this event whether public or private school. his finall victory came as part of the A team 's close win in the 400 yard freestyle relay where he swam the third leg in a time of 45.69(52.94 LCM) for a overall team time of 3:02.22.

                Brett Fraser younger brother exhibitioned in the 50 yard freestyle for Florida clocking 21.39 (24.87) and swimming 46.23 (53.57) in a third leg performance for Florida C in their exhibition 400 freestyle relay
